Afterlife's Rules
We wish we didn't need rules, but people are people. These aren't here to make your life harder, they're here to keep Afterlife the welcoming, drama-free community we've all worked so hard to build. Also - randomly there will be an unannounced trivia in game. Topic? The Rules. You actually win really great stuff if you answer these correctly, so they are worth looking over.
Community Guidelines
These aren't hard and fast rules. They're simply how the Afterlife community has naturally worked these common issues out.

Questing with a group? The player whose quest it is gets the final quest rewards. Everything else found throughout the POI is fair game unless your group agrees otherwise.

Someone is already inside the POI you want to quest? You can politely ask them to leave, but they don't have to. Your best bet is to invite them to your party and enjoy the quest together.

Two people arrive at an airdrop? Split the loot. It's the Afterlife way.

Let Rachel feed you. Trust us. It's easier.

The world can be a stressful place, and we understand that—especially right now. Many of us log into Afterlife as a way to step away from the constant stream of news, stress, and negativity that follows us every day. For many players, this is the one place where they can relax, have fun, and focus on surviving the apocalypse instead of the problems of the real world. We ask that politics be kept outside of the apocalypse. Afterlife is a place for everyone to come together, make friends, and enjoy the game without added real-world conflict. The zombies bring enough!
Community Expectations

Don't be a dick. Seriously. No trolling, griefing, or unnecessary drama.

Everyone is welcome here. Racism, misogyny, homophobia, harassment, or hateful speech of any kind will not be tolerated. That includes "jokes" about rape, genocide, or similar topics. Just use your noggin.

Making fun of Trader Rekt is always acceptable.

Don't ruin other players' gameplay. Respect other people's time and experience.

If you see or hear toxic behavior, please open a ticket. Whether it's harassment, hate speech, or someone making voice coms miserable because they've had a few too many, please let us know. We can't address a problem if we don't know it's happening. Reports are handled discreetly, and we will never reveal who opened a ticket.

Feel free to share your Twitch, YouTube, or other content in the Clips & Streams channel on Discord. Just don't recruit players for other servers.

Please mine in reset zones, not right outside someone else's base.

No fighting in chat. If you have an issue, open a ticket. If it feels too small to open a ticket, ask yourself: "Will I still care about this in a month?" If the answer is no, it's probably not worth arguing over.

To receive help from an admin, players must open a ticket. This helps us keep requests organized and ensures nobody gets overlooked. The admin team loves jumping into coms, chatting with everyone, and being part of the community. However, when voice chat turns into 20 people asking for things to be done, it becomes difficult to actually socialize and enjoy that time with everyone. Need help? Open a ticket. As our community already knows, we answer incredibly fast and will get you taken care of.
Gameplay Rules

Don't steal. If it isn't yours and it isn't marked FREE, don't touch it.

Take only what you need from the FREE boxes in Sanctuary, no emptying to sell the contents to traders.

No building or mining within 150m of Sanctuary, and no mining within 150m of Traders.

No building inside POIs.

Don't build on or around roads.

Plug your holes. Seriously. Don't leave giant pits for people to drive into.

Do not damage, alter, or build onto admin structures in any way.

Maximum 10 trees per land claim.

Farm limits: Maximum 5x5 farm plot groupings, 150 total plots.

Maximum of four of each workstation type & resource gatherers.

Put vehicles and drones away when you're finished using them, and ALWAYS before a server restart. We'll replace a lost vehicle the first time, and we'll always replace vehicles purchased with Afterlife Tokens. We also recommend not using vehicles as storage.

DRONES MUST BE PUT AWAY FIVE MINUTES BEFORE RESTART.

No hacking, cheating, duping, or exploiting.

18+ server.

Due to the number of players, and time admins spend on this issue - if you lose items due to player error, we can no longer replace said items. If there is a glitch - open a ticket!
